This colorful watercolor painting depicts the ancient stone faces of Bayon Temple at Angkor Thom, near Siem Reap, Cambodia. Inspired by my travels through the Angkor archaeological complex, the painting captures the weathered Khmer architecture and atmosphere of one of Cambodia's most remarkable historic sites.

 

Original painting 22x30" painted on 300lb Arches professional watercolor paper. Hand signed by artist (not pictured). Created using a mouth atomizer (similar to airbrush) where each color is sprayed onto paper and shapes are created using extensive stencils and layering. "Painted" using only three colors and no brushwork at all. 

Original painting is shipped flat. USPS Priority Mail (1-3 days) with tracking and insurance (domestic US).
